1st Line Support (Contract)

Location: Dartford, Kent, England Country: UK Rate: £160 per day
 

1st Line Service Desk - 160/day Inside IR35 - Dartford (Full Onsite) - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are seeking a proactive and reliable 1st Line Service Desk Contractor to join our client's dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for a problem-solver with a passion for customer service and technical support.

Your Responsibilities as 1st Line Service Desk Engineer:

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal and external users.
  • Respond to support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to second-line support when necessary.
  • Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
  • Assist with user account management and password resets.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes.

As a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a 1st Line Service Desk or similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with basic networking principles and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant IT certifications (eg, CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.
