Senior Performance Test Consultant (Contract)
Location: Reading or Havant Country: UK Rate: £550 to £600 per day (Umbrella rate)
Whitebridge Group, the specialist Digital Transformation consultancy is looking for an experienced Performance Test Consultant to join our client. The role will focus on setting up the appropriate test tools and plans for a range of mostly Azure hosted applications.
Role overview
- Defining and creating performance test frameworks, plans, and approaches
- Functional test automation using Java.
- Test Automation
- Working closely with stakeholders on performance projects
- Creating and executing performance and load tests on complex projects
- Analysing and investigating performance
- Optimisation of application performance and availability
- Writing and delivering test execution reports and closure reports
Essential Experience
- Understanding of system architecture in an event driven platform and Azure services
- Used performance test tooling such as JMeter (The key is to be adaptable to the situation/tool/technology)
- Development languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python
- Selenium test automation/Cucumber/Gherkin/Maven
- Root cause analysis
- Integration of testing within Azure development pipelines
- Experience with Azure Cloud technology.
- Working in Agile teams
Desirable Experience
The successful applicant should be able to commit to starting ASAP. The role for the foreseeable future will be hybrid, home based with weekly visits to the office. This will be umbrella working. Direct applicants only please.
