Of the survey respondents, those working in the Midwest command 14% more than in the West, the next highest region. In addition, contractor rates in the Midwest are a whopping 37% more than those in the South, the region with the lowest average rate. For full time salaries, the West tops the charts with an average salary of $57,000.
