MAC/Linux System Administrator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MAC/Linux Systems Administrator to join our client in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Possession of a or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance is required as a condition for employment (Interim Secret is required at start of hire)

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform and determine root-cause analysis, document system build procedures, and process work-flows related to end user support and system administration.
- Support existing internal IT infrastructure and new hardware installations of UNIX workstations, Servers, storage appliances, tape backup system, and networking devices.

Job Qualifications:
- B.S. in a Technical field and two (2) years of IT experience or five (5) years of IT experience.
- Security Certification (Security + or GSEC) required.
- Red Hat or Linux+ Certification required.
- Demonstrated experience with setup and configuration of MAC computers.
- Demonstrated experience as an Intermediate UNIX/Linux server administrator.
- Must be able to set up, assist, and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux Workstation problems.
- Should be able to collaborate with technical teams and management to ensure high system availability to users.
- Must be able to work well with others and have excellent and proven intra-team and cross department communication skills working with and supporting end users with varying technical skill sets and authority.
- Good understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure.
- Must be able to setup and configure new MAC's and to troubleshoot issues on currently networked systems, monitor logs and update the OS and installed programs for security requirements, and assist users with issues.
