Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for a SharePoint Developer to join our client in Aberdeen, Maryland.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support and development of SharePoint site and SharePoint MOSS 2010 components (web parts, application pages, page layouts, etc.) for enterprise scale Portals and Collaboration solutions
- Support and development of Content and Document Management process using SharePoint server.
- Support and development of customizations for branded solutions including master pages, CSS style definitions, templates, and themes
- Aid the support and development of integration points between the SharePoint solution and external business applications
- Support the creation, execution and documentation of functional and automated tests necessary to ensure that delivered solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements
- Provide direction to the customer and development team on where configuration changes can be made to utilize "Out of the Box" functionality in lieu of unnecessary code customizations
- Support the planning, designing, and developing of solution and feature packages to ensure successful deployment of customizations while maintaining the integrity of the SharePoint environment and upgrade path
- Support the development of technical specifications to meet solution functional and non-functional requirements
- Provide SharePoint maintenance support to identify SharePoint application enhancements or resolve defects.
- Develop and communicate SharePoint site usage and security policies and standards to all users.
- Define SharePoint site architecture and overall site structure.
- Establish policies and procedures for publishing sites and applications in conjunction with content creators.
- Conduct research on emerging SharePoint development tools and strategies.
Job Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- At least five (5) years development experience using SharePoint Designer, MS Infopath, and MS Visual Studio Professional. At least three (3) years concentration in Microsoft SharePoint custom development
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to fully participate in project conceptual design phases.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Designer and Web parts (including customized templates, especially those used for Web publishing and collaboration);
- Knowledge of Content and Document Management using SharePoint server.
- Experience in installation, configuration and error resolution for MOSS 2007
- Requires considerable knowledge of writing code for custom web parts and features; deploying list and site templates; UI development (Web Forms, JavaScript, DHTML/HTML, XML/XSLT) and business logic development; knowledge of templates using XHTML and including C# and ASP.NET code and other SharePoint-specific markups.
