Description
Key Role:
Support the Army client and the Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A) Program Management Office (PMO) to help ensure the successful design, development, and integration of customized, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and government off-the-shelf GOTS software within the DCGS-A software baselines. Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Participate in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems and leverage technical expertise to perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation. Support integration, test, and verification of the government furnished equipment (GFE) and DCGS-A software combined image and support identification of flaws and opportunities for tighter integration or interoperability between the GFE software applications and the DCGS-A system. Provide experience with cooperative and non-cooperative biometric collection devices and sensors, data exchange formats, forensics processing, submission, modalities, sensors, matching algorithms, reporting, and template generation. Assist the client with ensuring development of a fully-functional mission system and ensure interoperability of DCGS-A mission system solutions. Apply experience with software engineering processes and interactions, including Cloud architectures, technologies, data stores, and virtual machines and learn new software paradigms, techniques, and applications. This position is located in Aberdeen, MD.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
-7+ years of experience with systems engineering with an emphasis on Cloud or biometric systems
-Experience with consulting
-Knowledge of the full systems engineering life cycle
-Knowledge of Army INTEL systems
-Ability to work effectively under pressure and interact with senior government personnel
-TS/SCI clearance required
-BA or BS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
-Possession of excellent leadership skills
-BA or BS degree in IT, CS, or a related field preferred
-PMI PMP or equivalent Certification preferred
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
