Job Summary
Directs configuration activities and associated staff to ensure accurate and timely configuration of group benefits.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Directs configuration and provider data support activities to identify and analyze needs of the health plan, and implements efficient configuration processes within the DST/Amisys system to support those needs.
2. Recommends and delivers flexible system configuration design solutions to meet business requirements while maintaining optimal configuration standards.
3. Establishes priorities, standards, procedures, testing protocols, quality assurance processes, and seeks way to automate repetitive, predictable configuration processes.
4. Continually identifies trends, best practices and opportunities for process improvement and automation in the operational areas to support the organization's strategic objectives.
5. Establishes short-term and long-term metrics and goals for productivity and quality in the configuration and provider data services areas that enhance workflow optimization.
6. Considers interdepartmental impact when recommending solutions and identifies opportunities for interdepartmental utilization of recommended solutions.
7. Prepares and defends budget recommendations, requests, reports, proposals and/or projections.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor Degree or may substitute with 4 years of like experience.
Required Experience
5+ years performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant experience includes on target configuration experience in a managed care environment, and experience with AMISYS 3000/Advance system. Minimum 5 years direct supervision of staff also required.
