Position Summary:
Responsible for designing, managing and monitoring the data/voice TCPIP network environment. The Network Engineer II creates standards for network and VOIP equipment installs as well as performs new installs and upgrades on more complex environments. Specifically this position is responsible for the advanced technologies utilized in the data/voice TCPIP network environment. These environments include but are not limited to Core Router and switch configurations, Firewall/VPN, IDS/IPS, VOIP, SAN Switches, Nortel PBX. The Network Engineer II is also responsible for providing Disaster Recovery documentation for the data/voice TCPIP network environment. This position will also need to act as a project manager for data/voice infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 7 years of relevant OR a Current Cisco Professional Certification (CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCIP, CCVP, ) and 7 years of relevant experience OR Associates degree and 9 years of relevant experience required. A current Cisco Associate level certification is required if candidate has a degree and not a Cisco Professional certification. Extensive knowledge of Cisco Networking or Cisco VOIP is required. An in depth knowledge in two or more of the following is required (Advanced Routing/Switching, Firewall/VPN, IDS/IPS, Wireless, VOIP, SAN Switching, Nortel PBX ). A qualified individual for this position should be self motivated and hardworking. The candidate must be able to prioritize work assignments and work on difficult tasks with minimal supervision.
