Position Description:
Works closely with the Revenue Cycle Manager and provides training and ongoing software support to all GE/EPIC users within the Akron Children's Hospital Pediatric (ACHP) locations. Develops and maintains training materials including scripts and scenarios. Responsible for the training and support of appointment scheduling, registrations, insurance verification and co-pay or personal balance posting and legendary customer service program. Responsible for reviewing the quality of work for all new and existing employees and documentation of that information. May analyze new functionality to identify educational needs/training and identify ways to make improvements in the education/training plans. Will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and questions and escalates appropriately to the Revenue Cycle Manager those that can't be resolved. Works as an integral component in a new business start up. Travel to all ACHP locations is as needed for training, support and follow up review of employee competencies.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in related field preferred. Minimum of four (4) years experience of computerized physician practice management system preferable but not limited to IDX,GE/EPIC. Excellent detail orientation and communication skills required. Experience with physician billing processes and claim denials. Excellent training and teambuilding skills with flexibility in working in a new business start up. Reliable transportation for travel to ACHP locations.
