Our Technical Business Analysts work with our customers gathering requirements and creating value propositions. This includes studying impact of the change to our various programs; translating "user speak" into "technical speak" and generating detailed requirements including program flow changes and high level interface design. They are also the liaison between development and support/testing; assist in determining test cases; and help determine complexity of the change for estimating purposes. Under general supervision, the Technical Business Analyst contributes to the software development process by ensuring complete and accurate documentation of system requirements and serves as a liaison between customers and development departments during the product development phase.

Your essential functions will include:

  • Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
  • Defines the system and functional requirements of the product.
  • Prepares business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Serves as a resource and/or participant in business process re-design activities. Assists the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
  • May perform application, system and regression tests.
  • Responsible for creating business requirements and system documentation, as well as contributing to end-user and project management documentation.
  • Works with quality assurance and programming teams to ensure changes are migrated into production correctly.
  • Interacts with technical teams to convey business requirements.
  • Works with industry research groups to prepare for product trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Great communication skills with users and both support and development staff (both verbal and written)
  • Analytical/Detail oriented
  • Great time management skills
  • Experience with agile philosophies and methods a plus.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to work on moderately complex and diverse projects.
  • Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Superior project management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to define system and functional requirements.
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Able to interact with and communicate well with other technical associates.
