HIM department or Clinical experience (>3 years experience)
We are looking to expand Product Development team's Healthcare expertise via the addition of a hands-on clinical or HIM department member from a large Hospital setting. Hospital experiences will be used to help influence large scale product direction details via a Business Analyst role. Qualified candidates will join a growing team of developers and testers actively using the Agile Scrum methodology to build and expand upon a Healthcare enterprise content management system.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to work directly with developers, testers and the Product Owner to create intuitive and high quality product features. Day-to-day responsibilities of the role may include:
- Develop knowledge of the existing Sovera offering;
- Expand team knowledge of hospital system practices;
- Review and contribute to user stories;
- Review and contribute to product test cases;
- Execute test cases for user stories;
- Find and document product issues;
- Work collaboratively within the Agile Scrum team to ensure requirements/acceptance criteria are met.

Essential Skills Required
- 3 years experience in a hospital HIM department or clinical setting
- Understanding of the needs related to inpatient and outpatient clinical documentation standards with knowledge of electronic health record applications.
- High level of understanding of HIPAA, Joint Commission, state and federal regulations and
guidelines, hospital policies and procedures, and AHIMA best practice methods regarding maintenance of health records and health information.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED
- Involvement in software testing
- RHIA or RHIT credential preferred
- System Administration experience
- Experience contributing to the enhancement of a large scale software product (eg User Group participation)

Hardware/Software Packages
HL7, EMR software package use, SQL, HL7 experience
