JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Database Administrator will be responsible for:

- Performing daily Oracle database administration duties to ensure maximum data availability and optimal database performance.
- Proactively monitoring database conditions to resolve potential troubles before they impact customer operations.
- Performs application administration to include privileges, user administration, database tuning and backup/recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer trouble calls reported by individual users and individual program offices.
- Ensure databases are accessible and up-to-date with patches.
- Install, configure, implement, and maintain DBMS software and software suites to include third-party COTS products.
- Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager or other database monitoring software.

Note: This position will work Mid - Shift (9:00 pm - 7:00 am) - 4/10 hour-day (Sunday - Wednesday).

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

- Must have a minimum of active DoD Secret with an in scope Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Candidate may start on the program with an Interim Secret with SSBI upgrade.

REQUREMENTS:

- IT Level of System Access: Must be eligible for award of IT-1 level of system access. (Requires Secret/SBBI or Top Secret ) DISA may authorize interim access if personnel are awarded interim secret.
- DoD 8570.1-M Requirements: Candidates must have a DoDI 8570.01-M approved Security + certification and be enrolled in the Continuing Education Program prior to beginning work on the contract and must have, or be able to obtain an approved Operating or Network Environment certificate with 6 months of their start date.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or related field of studies and 5 years' of experience.
