Job Description: AK ERP Cost Accounting SME This multi-million project will be implemented in multiple phases. The senior Advantage Financial functional SME joins an ongoing initiative to install our Advantage product suite. The successful candidate will join the end of the design stage of implementation and will be immediately focused on reviewing client requirements and participate in finalizing the functional designs for the platform. The functional SME will provide an understanding of user requirements based on past experience with the Advantage platform and must be able to be a liaison to end user department staff as they prepare and participate build support activities. The senior Advantage functional SME must have an in-depth knowledge of the Advantage platform and practical experience with Department of Transportation business processes and functions and the ability to assist in supporting department preparation activities.

The Advantage Financial Functional SME will be responsible for:
-Analyzing business requirements to determine functional solutions
-Authoring and reviewing design documents and other functional project deliverables
-Resolving functional issues and providing functional support to the project team
-Interfacing with client end users independently to prepare participants for meeting sessions and to answer questions regarding their business functions as it relates to Advantage

The Advantage Financial Functional SME will be expected to:
-Demonstrate deep functional knowledge of Financial Management including Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, Chart of Accounts, and/or Accounts Receivable/Payable
-Possess implementation experience with Advantage Financial functions
-Demonstrate advanced analytical and requirements gathering skills
-Demonstrate ability to translate the business case analysis and client requirements into design documents
-Demonstrate ability to coordinate and lead peer review sessions.
-Lead, coordinate and perform the functional task related to the SDLC
-Provide requirements definition, business process analysis, fit/gap resolution, process design and implementation, functional design, implementation and validation.
- Travel extensively to Juneau Alaska

The successful candidate must have at least 2 plus years of experience with Advantage Financial and 3+ years system implementation experience:
-In system implementation with a focus on features and functions and end user interactions
-With full lifecycle software development practices
-Authoring designs and other written project deliverables
-Participating in peer review sessions
-Providing in-depth business knowledge to ensure efficient design, and implementation

Essential Skills Required:

-Extensive knowledge of the Advantage Financial platform
-Advanced analytical and requirement gathering skills.
-Ability to effectively interface with the client, end-users and other analysts.
-Ability to productively work with minimal supervision
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work in a virtual team environment
-Ability to work under pressure.

Nonessential Skills Desired:

-Public Sector Government experience
- CPA preferred
