Description

Key Role:

Assist with providing a centralized management approach in addressing information assurance (IA) with emphasis in certification and accreditation (C&A) requirements for the DoD client. Enable Air Support Operations Squadrons (ASOS), Special Tactics Squadrons (STS), and schoolhouses in obtaining certification and accreditation approvals for current and future client systems and the associated network connections impacting unit training. Support the client information assurance manager (IAM) and providing C&A advice, guidance, and review of identified products created by units for their specific sites to comply with federal, DoD, and Air Force information assurance policies. Provide security engineering support to the IAM and configuration management team and assist with providing balance between the reasonable implementation of information assurance and security controls and the performance and availability requirements needed to sustain the mission. Work within the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC), ASOS, and STS community to provide solutions to security and technical challenges to the user units in addressing the certification and accreditation approvals as directed by the IAM.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with the AF Security, Interoperability, Supportability, Sustainability and Interoperability (SISSU) activity
-Knowledge of federal, DoD, and AF policy and instructions related to the C&A processes
-Knowledge of the DoD Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Web based tool used to implement the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process and the AF Certification and Accreditation Process (AFCAP)
-Knowledge of the major driving policies, including DoD 8510.01 (DIACAP), AFPD 33-2, AFI 33-202v1, AFI 33-210 (AFCAP), and NIST
-Knowledge of modeling and simulation and Live Virtual Constructive capabilities for operational training and the key stakeholders in the community
-Top Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
-CISSP Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
