A resource is needed to support one or more projects including work in the following areas: Software development and analysis associated with the Site Exploitation System for Situational Awareness (SESSA) decision support tool, supporting data acquisition for forensic crime scene investigations and sensitive site exploitation for special operations activities, and an emphasis on 3D sensor processing to produce 3D mapping and virtual walk-through environments; Software development and analysis associated with a decision support tool called the Building Restoration Operations Optimization Model (BROOM), designed to support sampling design, sample collection, and sample management needs in the potential event of a biological, chemical, or radiological warfare agent release in both indoor and outdoor settings; Software development and analysis associated with a decision support system called PATH/AWARE (Prioritization Analysis Tool for All-Hazards/Analyzer for Wide Area Restoration Effectiveness), utilizing a Geographical Information System (GIS), access building and infrastructure databases, and enable prioritization of restoration activities as well as cost and timeline scenarios for recovery activities.

Required:

- 2-3 years programming experience including strong software testing, troubleshooting, and documentation skills are also required along with experience following structured development processes

- SQL Server Database support experience including all aspects of database support from design to on-going support.

- Highly desire significant experience in the development of software applications using C# .NET (WinForms and WPF), Unity gaming environment, Microsoft SQL Server database, Java, Javascript, graphical user interface design, and GIS components.

- Hardware and software integration components with the use of hardened tablet computers and sensors for 3D imaging.

- 3D image processing is a key component of this job position.

- Ability to support both hardware and software systems.

- Handheld PDA's, wireless connectivity, and other electronics.

- The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to work independently within a team-based environment.

- Ability to lead, coordinate, and prioritize work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is essential.

- Strong written and oral communication skills are also required to support at meetings and presentations.

- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L clearance.

- Willingness and ability to travel is required as the job entails a modest level of travel.

Desired: Experience with Geographical Information System (GIS) programming and applications. Experience with Windows Mobile.

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will have a minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or equivalent experience. BS and 5 years relevant work experience.
