JOB SUMMARY:
The SAIC Integrated Systems Group has an opening for a Junior Database Administrator in Alexandria, VA to provide systems integration and software engineering services for an enterprise intelligence system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Junior Database Administrator will work closely with teammates to build, test and monitor various types of databases. Candidate should be self-motivated, a quick learner and be able to work independently as well as part of a working group of developers and customers.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance upgradable to a TS/SCI.
Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 4+ years of Database Administration/Support experience OR additional training and/or experience to be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Able t work in Linux and Windows environments.
Database management, data extraction and Scripting experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with databases on virtual machines.
Experience with cloud computing.
Experience with Geospatial Database and tools.
Experience with managing Oracle BLOB, CLOB and CTX indexes as well as other database platforms.
Database migration to and from various platforms.
Experience configuring and monitoring standby databases and configuring and monitoring RMAN repositories
Experience with Oracle 11G.
