Senior .NET Software Engineer/Architect
Skills: .NET 4.0 development, C#, SOA or n-tier architecture, WPF/WCF, web services, desire to architect AND code (ratio is 80/20), SaaS, strong problem solving skills are critical!

Our client provides the first cloud-based collaboration platform to deliver on the full promise of business-to-business collaboration. The platform enables each party to create, manage and control its own independent applications and data. This allows organizations to connect worldwide in a collaborative environment that enables easy consumption and exchange of data from app to app, phase to phase and company to company. The senior software engineer will participate as a member of an agile development team in the design, development and testing of the business application platform using state of the art Microsoft technologies including .net Framework 4.0, WCF, Silverlight, ASP.net, C#, MVVM, and SQL Server 2008. This will be a combination of Architecture/Development (approx. 80/20). This candidate must be extremely talented in what they do, and bring to the table the ability to help product scalability and understand how it interacts with the network. We are looking for problem-solvers that really understand architecture, have a solid level of commitment, and can come in and roll up their sleeves and get it done. This individual will become part of the nucleus of senior developers whose role is to design and implement the core components that will serve as the foundation of the business application platform. Multiple openings! Need one of the developers to have strong mobile development experience.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementations that complement the existing platform architecture, meet our internal business requirements, and exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Work with team members to ensure that projects are delivered on time and with a high level of quality.
- Assist Product Managers in estimating development and testing time for proposed product features.
- Understand the business needs of our customers and provide technical guidance to ensure that our application meets those needs.
- Research and evaluate existing and emerging technologies to determine if they meet a specific business requirement and if they complement platform.
- Actively participate in daily scrum, and sprint review, and sprint planning sessions.
- Actively participate in testing of the application by writing unit and integration tests.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher degree in MIS, Business, Computer Science or related area.
- 8+ years experience in software development.
- Strong problem solving skills a requirement.
- 5+ years of experience in the design and development of enterprise-class solutions (preferably using Microsoft technologies); Experience developing SAS\PAAS solutions is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies and involvement in the complete product development life cycle. Experience with the agile development process is a plus.
- Strong experience developing solutions using the .NET framework.
- Strong experience with WCF and\or .net Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, and n-tier software design and development; Experience using WCF is a plus.
- Strong experience with WPF, Silverlight and XAML is a plus.
- Experience developing both WinForms and ASP.net applications; experience using AJAX frameworks is a plus.
- Strong experience C# and Java
- Strong experience with development best practices, design patterns and common frameworks.
- Strong Object Oriented analysis and design skills.
- Strong knowledge of the design and implementation of relational databases, with hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong experience using source control systems; Experience using Team Foundation Server is a plus.
- Conscientious about producing the highest quality of work.
- Ability to interact and communicate with team members, management, business sponsors, and non-technical clients.
- Able to describe solutions and issues to management and technicians who may not be familiar with the subject matter.
