Senior Java Engineer

Job Summary:

Design, develop, test and/or maintain various applications while providing technical support and troubleshooting that are beyond capabilities of the help desk or customer service.  May assist with performing on-site client work.  Will operate under moderately close supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and/or maintain various client applications using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SOA, Oracle SQL.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, design, develop, test and implement software components
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting that are beyond capabilities of help desk or customer service
• Analyze and rectify QA and production problems
• Ensure proper functioning of applications in a production environment
• Defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and interfaces with other systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in Enterprise development and design
• At least 4 years in object-oriented development in an enterprise-wide application environment utilizing Java/J2EE/JavaScript.
• Thorough knowledge of Web Technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Experience in JavaScript related Frameworks such as ExtJS and jQuery.
• Experience in web frameworks such as Spring.
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (PilotFish, Mirth or any relevant tools)
• Experience with web services and service-oriented architecture is a must (ESB).
• Experience with Oracle or any relational Databases and SQL.
• Experience in Agile Development Methodology.
• Experience in build tools like Ant, Maven or Gradle.
• Experience in code repository tools like Git or SVN.
• Experience in Data Analytics and Reporting.

Desired Qualification:

• Experience in Performance Tuning and Code Optimization.
• Experience in application security concepts and secure coding standards.
• Understanding of Mirth, Mirth Connect and relevant technologies
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies (.NET, C#) is a plus
• Working knowledge of Unix Environment.

Education:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
