Senior Database Administrator

Position Summary:
As a Senior Database Administrator you will provide consultation to the applications staff in the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of new databases and revisions to existing databases. Manages all activities related to the administration of Oracle and SQL Server databases.

Responsibilities Include:
Design, implement, evaluate and maintain database architecture.

Provides technical support and guidance in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of database problems.

Define and analyze data requirements for database designs. Evaluate, establish, and implement policies and procedures relating to database management, security, maintenance, and utilization.

Monitor and tune large database systems to meet the performance and availability requirements of our customer's on-line systems and applications.
Support business operations in off hour support rotated among the team. Program and manage ETL processes written in Perl.

Organizational Structure:
This position will report to the Database Manager

Position Requirements
The Ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 5 years experience as a Sr. DBA, Database Performance Tuning, Database Security, Promoting Process Improvement, Problem Solving, Presenting Technical Information, Quality Focus, Database Management, Data Maintenance, Operating Systems, Attention to Detail, Information Security Policies, Experience in Oracle 10g, 11g RAC, SQL Server 2012, Windows, Unix, Linux, AIX, Scripting languages - Perl, Shell Scripting a plus.
