DBA Manager - Oracle, SQL Server, Unix/Linux DBA Manager Job Description:
DBA:
1. Strong knowledge of SQL(Structured Query Language)
2. Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server
3. Knowledge of Storage management
4. Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting
5. Knowledge of WEB technology
6. Data modeling, Data transformation, Data loading
7. Knowledge of MS-SQL Server
• Production support for various business applications in a Primary and Backup role
• Provide 7X24 on call support to business applications. This is a rotating assignment.
• Perform DBA tasks such as: Create New Databases, Perform data backup, perform data restore, perform data refresh, performance tuning, performance monitoring
• Write new or modify existing Shell scripts, write new or modify existing PL/SQL scripts
• Maintain documentation using standardized SWIs(Standard Work Instructions)
• Be sensitive to system issues and be alert to respond in a timely manner
• Work closely with a team of high caliber DBAs while solving problems, designing database solutions, escalating issues immediately
• Play a very supportive role while filling in for others or taking additional responsibility when workload demands it periodically
