Description

Arbor is looking for a Software Developer that is skilled in debugging, testing, and maintaining software products. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in networks and network security. If you want to work in a fast paced environment on best in class network infrastructure protection and visibility products, then we are interested in talking to you!

Our team consists of smart, dedicated engineers who love to solve problems.

Qualified candidates will work closely with the Arbor product and support teams to isolate and fix escalated customer-facing problems. Candidates will also work with product development and product management to design and deliver feature enhancements. Any candidate must excel in team environments and be extremely prolific, ie one who regularly produces high quality solutions in less time than his or her colleagues.

Qualifications

Required Skill-set:

- Proficient developing in C - Experience developing in Unix or Linux
- A driving sense of craftsmanship, quality and ownership
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and to take on additional tasks as assigned
- Ability to work in small teams and cross-team to solve complex problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skill-set:

- Experience developing in a large source code base
- Experience with network programming on Linux/Unix
- Experience debugging large systems or commercial products
- Experience working with customers on customer-critical infrastructure
- Understanding of application layer network protocols
