Wellness & Prevention (W&P) is the global leader in online delivery of behavior change interventions. Our behavioral support programs create unique health improvement plans for each individual. W&P is currently searching for a dynamic Technical Architect to join our top-notch software technology team. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, and analytical and team player. This position requires significant knowledge across multiple platforms, processes, architectures, as well as knowledge on new and emerging technologies. S/he will work closely with other Architects, Product Management, Project Management, Operations and other developers to create robust software that advances the application architecture while fulfilling all of the business requirements.

This individual will be responsible for the design and implementation of various aspects of industry leading web/mobile based software applications. Provide advice to development personnel regarding application design specifications for segments of an application. Function as technical lead in a software development capacity for product teams developing new and innovative products as well as integration of and enhancements to existing products. Develop application architecture direction including platform, standards, policies, and procedures. Perform analysis and design and document the design and architecture through modeling languages. Participate in projects from the design phase through final testing. Develop and conduct training programs related to advances in related technology. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of application development and 5 years of in-depth application architecture experience is required for candidates who do not possess a degree. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree require a minimum of 7 years of application development and 5 years of application architecture experience. Candidates with a Masters or advanced Degree require a minimum of 5 years of application development and 2 years of application architecture experience.

In-depth understanding of Web technologies, design patterns, SOAP and Rest based Web Services, Spring and Hibernate frameworks is required. Thorough knowledge with Oracle and SQL is required. Experience with developing and maintaining SOA applications is a must. Strong verbal communication, written communication and interpersonal skills are required. Experience with a wide range of experience in technical problem solving skills is required. Experience with security standards, ethical hacking, various industry technologies are preferred.

Mobile/Social experience is a strong plus. Strong ability to manage both time and work load independently is required. Software development experience on Linux platform is required. Experience in application profiling and performance tuning is desired. Agile programming methodology, Development tools and principles is preferred.
