ARINC's Corporate Technology Services Business Unit in Annapolis, MD is seeking an Onbase Application Analyst.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan, design, develop, implement and support of our OnBase Workflow & Document Management System.
- IT Applications Development, Maintenance, IT Architecture, IT Engineering, and other IT Infrastructure support functions.
- Work with IS resources, internal business users, and external vendors to enhance and implement the necessary changes to the existing application based on the requirements from the business users.
- Assist with maintenance, development and enhancement of the OnBase.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Analyze, design, prototype, test, develop/enhance applications, production support, including requirements gathering, estimating and documentation.
- Analyze and assess existing business systems and collaborate with developers, vendors, and designers to conceptualize and develop new software programs and applications.
- Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications in collaboration with internal users and departments.
- Translate business requirements into cost-effective solutions, providing feedback to the requirements gathering process, designing and developing solutions with minimal supervision.
- Interact with customers/users to support software acceptance process and act as a liaison between development and user community.
- Coordinate with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with network administrators, database administrators, hardware administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
- Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary.
- Help develop PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Run and monitor software programs and applications according to specifications, troubleshoot and support production systems.
- Implement document capture workflow scenarios, including scanning, and other electronic sources such as subscription servers, and Email.
- Implement the configuration and setup of Workflow systems for document capture, routing and disposition.
- Design and develop OnBase eForms solutions.
- Troubleshoot to identify problem areas and resolve issues with production systems.
- Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.
- Train end-users to operate new or modified programs.
- Install and upgrade software products as required.
- Provide guidance to test team members.
Qualifications Required Experience:
- Two (2) or more years development experience in a variety of programming languages, including Visual Basic, ASP.NET, PL/SQL, HTML, Microsoft Web Services, and Web applications.
- Excellent understanding of coding methods, Oracle, SQL, including development of stored procedures, SQL queries, other SQL objects.
- Experience with Directory Services, such as LDAP, AD or like based authentication.
- Solid understanding of platforms such as Microsoft Server 2003 or 2008, and exposure to Oracle 10g or higher.
- Strong knowledge of document management software and workflow.
- Good knowledge of integrating document management software with other applications via provided APIs.
- Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
- Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
- Ability to thoroughly conduct quality assurance test.
Desired Experience:
- Solid working knowledge of OnBase modules including Workflow, Workview, E-Forms, Application Enabler, Oracle Integration, and Unity API.
- Experience in Search techniques (structured and unstructured data) and developing complex reports using OnBase Report Services.
- Preferred OnBase Certification including System Administrator, Advanced System Administrator, Workflow Administrator, Advanced Workflow Administrator, and API.
Education or Certification Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering) or equivalent work experience. Amount of Travel Required for Position 0 - 25
