We have a Senior Software Engineer/Developer position in the greater Annapolis, MD vicinity, with an organization committed to building online services that get results for their government partners.
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering secure web applications using ASP.NET/C# and related technologies. The selected candidate will be part of a strong development team; and will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into functional web based applications throughout all stages of the SDLC.
What you need for this position:
* 5+ years of experience developing web applications (including 3-years with Microsoft .NET technologies)
* 4-year degree in Computer Science or related discipline
* Fluent in .NET 4.0, ASP.NET (C#), N-Tier development, SOA, XML-based web services
* Fluent in MS SQL Server, DB architecture/design, SQL development
* Experience with MVC, Entity Framework, Dependency Injection Framework a plus
* Experience with HTML5/CSS3, JQuery, Javascript, Ajax, Telerik Controls
* Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies
* Experienced in Unit Testing using MSTest & TFS 2010
* Experience building secure web applications †user authentication, role-based access control, n-tier architecture, DB/file encryption, input validation techniques
* Excellent debugging skills; able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components
* Experience advocating for and using new technology to build applications of the future
* Familiarity with web application security vulnerabilities and best practices
* Familiarity with performance analysis of a web application
* Effective problem solving and risk assessment skills
* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated, creative and strong sense of accountability
* Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

* Dependency Injection Framework
* Android, IOS, Windows Mobile development
* SSIS
* Windows Workflow
* SharePoint 2010 †deployment, administration, web parts and custom controls development
* Mobile native and mobile web application experience

* Design & develop web and mobile applications
* Translate business requirements into well-designed and documented software components based on Microsoft technologies (.NET, SQL)
* Work closely with the business, infrastructure support and development teams
* Provide contributions to the application architecture with a focus on scalability, maintainability, security and performance
* Participate in all phases of the lifecycle of software application development with an emphasis on architecture, design, quality, code reviews and implementation
