Job Description
ARINC's International Business Unit is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Manager in Annapolis, MD.

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager will develop and implement an ARINC Airport Technology Center (AATC) Quality Assurance program that improves stakeholder satisfaction and reduces defects and cost. This person will build on the existing ISO framework using proven techniques, and enlist all participants in the AATC supply and value chains in Requirements Management and Test discipline. This position works closely with software Design and Developments teams.

Additionally you will be responsible for:
-Reducing Fielded Defects of products by 50% in a rolling 12-month window by ensuring that requirements are known, that products meet requirements and that they contain no defects against known requirements.
-Standardizing the requirements and test processes across multiple product lines.
-Monitoring adherence to ISO standards and best practices by Engineering Design and Development teams to a variety of criteria.
-Managing CM, Test and code repository resources to ensure the criteria in #1 are met.
-Compiling, validating, and maintaining functional, technical and testability requirements for all Engineering Design and Development projects.
-Conducting bi-weekly CCBs with AATC and Business Unit stakeholders for all products to address new defects reported and plan to address those.
-Building a cost effective QA program that fits a wide range of products and projects.
-Ensuring balance between QA requirements and cost to develop and field products.
-Conducting and participating in Failure Review Boards and implementing their conclusions as and when needed.
-Providing input to design and development teams on any gaps and process enhancements to reduce defects and improve time to test, thereby ensuring a cost effective QA program.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

-Ten (10) years of experience in software quality/QA programs.
-Five (5) years working in a management role with software quality assurance.
-Deep understanding of comparative development and testing methodologies.

Proven ability to establish sound QA program. Must possess the skills, charisma and sincerity to win commitment from all participants.

Qualifications Desired:

- Experience in a CMMI Level 4 or 5 (or equivalent) organization is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in setting up quality programs within software development environments.
- Familiarity with Air Travel and/or Airport IT systems

Education and Certification Required:

Bachelors degree in Software Engineering. Typically requires a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from an accredited institution desired.
