Description

Key Role:
Provide onsite Information Assurance (IA) technical expertise in a broad array of areas, including, IA Program Management/Support, IA/Network Security Policy, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Defense IA/Security Accreditation Working Group (DSAWG), Communication Security (COMSEC) Accountability, Cross Domain Solution (CDS) Management, Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC), and Data-at-Rest (DAR) requirements. Provide technical expertise and policy analysis for the Navy's Allies on SIPRNET program, including participating in Naval focus groups, compiling technical requirements, developing briefings concerning funding requirements, and drafting updated Navy guidance covering Fleet responsibilities, user criteria, provisioning, and the approval process for extending classified access to Allies. Support FISMA compliance planning, Navy Integrated Process Teams (IPT) meetings, Department of the Navy (DoN) FISMA Action Plan development, and related Navy FISMA initiatives, including support to the Computer Incident Response Working Group efforts to provide policy revision analysis focused on decreasing spill rates, assist with the implementation of previously developed policy to train and appoint Designated Accreditation Authorities (DAA) for developmental systems and RDT&E networks, and participate in Navy Platform IT (PIT) working groups. Support DoN CIO Defense IA Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) Transition team, including developing Navy guidance, workflows, and templates required for the new DoD C&A policy. Conduct in-depth reviews of DoD, Joint Staff, SECNAV manuals, and Navy instructions to assess security, operational, and resource impact, and develop technical content for the same, as required. Support Navy monitoring of DISA Connection Approval Process (CAP) and similar Navy databases to track network accreditation rates and the overall enterprise security posture. Support Navy DSAWG requirements, including the review of all proposed architectures against IA policies, Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIGs), and industry best practices to ensure required personnel, operations, and technologies are implemented to mitigate risk to Navy networks.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:-2 years of experience with DoD IA required-Experience in a client-site environment among senior DoD military and government civilian personnel-Ability to work on a long-term opportunity in a very fast-paced and positive environment-Ability to grow and develop front-line consulting and DoD IA expertise-Secret clearance

Additional Qualifications:-BA or BS degree

Clearance:
