Key Role:

Serve as a mid-level test engineer on a team of experienced professionals in the development and testing of advanced software applications. Work with business analysts to review software design and requirements documentation to understand the application functionality. Support level of effort estimates, test plans, test case scripting, peer reviews, and test summary reports to ensure a successfully tested release. Perform manual testing and create automated regression and performance test scripts using the Rational tools and Performance and Functional Tester. Test key functionality, setup and verify data, and report test results to the project manager. Interact with clients on a daily basis during testing phases to ensure that release testing defects are communicated to the client or support UAT.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with Rational Quality Manager to develop and execute functional and regression test scripts, Rational Functional Tester for automated test scripting, Rational Performance Tester for Performance Scripting, Rational RequisitePro for Requirements Traceability, and Rational ClearQuest to manage defects discovered during testing
-2+ years of experience with ETL testing
-1+ years of experience with Web services testing, including with SoapUI
-Experience with the client during user acceptance test sessions
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Functional Tester and Performance Tester at an advanced level with special focus on using JavaScript for advanced automation scripts
-Experience with Section 508 testing
-Experience with writing SQL statements to acquire and verify test data
-Knowledge of testing methodologies and the software development life cycle
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
