Data Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our client in Atlanta, GA.

Job Overview:
This position is key role on the Financial Operations team; this person will be the liaison between the business and technical teams to understand, analyze, document and translate into a conceptual end to end technical solution which can be handed off to the technical development teams. This position could also be responsible for analysing and documenting end to end processes.

Job Responsibilities:
- Business Liaison
- Technical Documentation: Business and Functional Requirements, Source System Analysis, data traceability, Impact Assessments, Process and Data flow diagrams, Conceptual models
- Interface with clients to define report deliverables, issues, questions, needs, trends, and timing
- Prepare report mocks up/prototypes
- Create ad-hoc reports as needed for data analysis and validation
- Participate in QA efforts as they pertain to reporting, data, metrics, and report creation and execution

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems
- Prior Business Analyst experience gathering business requirements, documenting functional requirements
- Expert with Microsoft Suite; Excel, Access
- Understanding of Business Intelligence complete solutions and implementations
- Experience with data warehousing and data management practices
- Excellent Data Mining skills with the ability to transform data to meaningful results
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self starter and work under minimal supervision
- Prior Report Development experience: (ie Business Objects, Cognos)
- Prior Data Analysis using SQL (Oracle Database language)
- Project management/Program management skills
- Telecom Experience Preferred
- Direct experience with Billing Systems such as CSG, or experience supporting Operations such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Customer Care, Sales Operations or Service Delivery is preferred
- Ability to Travel: 5%
