What you'll be doing:
We seek a data architect to design, lead implementation, and support the data subsystem of a software product, based on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R8, with HIGH transactional throughput involving large tables (1B+ rows) with an efficient ETL process including performance reporting on the data.

What you need for this position:
- Experience in a software product development environment (as opposed to IT/operations environments only).
You really need to be expert in:
- entity-relation modeling
- developing with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 R2
- developing with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- analyzing performance of and tuning databases, including load/stress testing
- designing and implementing ETL processes
- dimensional modeling
Nice to haves:
- agile development processes (Scrum, XP)
- developing with Oracle or other enterprise-class databases
- developing data access layers with C# and ADO.NET (or other data access technologies)
- SQL Server Reporting Services, Microstrategy, or other enterprise-class reporting tools
