The Web Architect will be responsible for contributing to, documenting, and assisting in enhancing and maintaining our company websites and associated applications. Success will be measured on the ability to successfully deliver a quality product including documentation on time. The communication, smooth execution, problem resolution, and added value to the application development will be key areas of evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and works daily with eCommerce and others on the overall design, architecture and development efforts on Web, eCommerce and associated UI applications.     
  • Design Web flows, pages by integrating web services from existing SOA platform.     
  • Gathering business requirements onsite and translate requirements to development tasks to offshore.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot web applications for functional and performance issues.     
  • Ability to lead offshore development team.
  • Coordinates and works daily with others on the overall design, architecture and development efforts.
  • Works with others to develop and maintain standards as part of the development process.     
  • Reviews code of other developers to ensure they arecompliant with standards.
  • Prototypes and develops code.

Requirements:

  • A solid track record of accomplishments in Web and eCommerce development preferred     
  • At least 8 years of total Web, UI and eCommerce and UI development experience
  • 2 years current experience with the following required: HTML, CSS, JQuery, Ajax, Java, Web Services, SOAP, XML, object-oriented design with the following desired, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, MySQL, Postgres, Magnolia CMS.     
  • 1 year experience setting up and maintaining Java based web analytics tags (Omniture, Coremetrics, etc)
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on multiple/projects tasks with stringent schedules
