Job Description
Major responsibilities will include the design and coding of application functionality to meet customer defined requirements. Additional tasks included in this role will be working with customers to outline user requirements, performing application testing, facilitating user testing, and assisting in system rollouts.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of programming experience
- 4+ years of analyst experience
- 8+ years of experience with PS Financial Modules
- 6+ years of programming experience developing with PeopleSoft and related languages
- 4 years of programming experience in other languages
- 6+ years of experience working in both a UNIX and Windows environment
- 6+ years of experience working with Oracle databases
- 6+ years of experience with relational database design, and development
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Handles the systems development life cycle on all development and enhancement projects
- Assists with project planning, definition, requirements and time & resource estimates
- Must have an excellent understanding of PS Financials -- AR, AP, GL, AM, PO, ePRO and Cash Management Modules as well as the business processes that are required for each
- Must be able to discuss and document how proposed changes to the system will affect business process or other involved systems
- Must exhibit excellence with SQR, PeopleCode, SQL, and PeopleTools and related languages.
- Must exhibit competency in HTML, JAVA, JavaScript, XML, and PL/SQL.
- Must exhibit competency with Unix Shell Scripting and Windows Batch Programming
- Must have ability to build design documents based on meetings, JAD sessions or other requirements gathering tools, with analysts and end-users to include requirements as well as design to a level that other programmers can build from it to include Process Models, Data Models, Data Flow Diagrams and Entity Relationship Diagrams
- Must develop test plans for both unit and systems testing to verify completeness and stability of code and how that code will affect the entire production system
- Must completely document all modifications and be able to maintain systems level documentation
- Responsible for helping to develop and maintain departmental systems standards
- Must support the system when required by troubleshooting issues along with analysts
- Must be able to mentor and evaluate other programmers and analysts
