Project Coordinator Co-op - STUDENT CO-OP PROGRAM-131080
Description
The Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers, Managers, and Directors to facilitate successful project execution and assist with project, process improvement/management or governance coordination activities. This role will serve as organizer, facilitator, planner, and problem solver. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. The ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with various internal and external resources to facilitate successful project, process or governance implementation
- Supporting day-to-day activities to include coordination of activities among IT managers, quality control of data and production of views and reports required by management activities
- Assist management in forecasting resource spending, management of portfolio or project expenditures, and reporting, possibly including portfolio or project budget analysis and management.
- Assist Project and Resource Managers with activities including organizing, planning, analyzing, and problem solving.
- Identifying and recommending solutions to a variety of IT investment problems as they emerge
- Presenting written reports and briefings to senior management on analysis results and recommendations.
- Ensure coordination between the activities performed by the project team to keep projects on time and within budget
- Assist management with controlling changes in project scope while communicating impact to management and team
- Identify, communicate and manage risks that may interfere with project execution or success
- Continuously monitor processes and proactively work to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure appropriate project documentation is produced
- Effectively communicate project status to management and keep business stakeholders informed of project status and all related issues
- PC support for word processing, PowerPoint presentations and spreadsheet analysis Provide general administrative support including mail, fax, filing, copying, record keeping
Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, MIS, CIS or other related program
- Knowledge of the MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Project
- Motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills and an ability to work on a team
- Excellent people and customer service skills
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask successfully
- Knowledge of the Internet, computer industry, and the competitive landscape
- Understanding of Project Management concepts and techniques
