ROLE:

As the Quality Assurance Tester you will work with the development team and business users to perform QA testing based on documented business requirements. Apply a thorough understanding of SDLC and SQA methodology.  As the QA Tester, you will create and maintain test plans and scripts, and carry out hands-on testing efforts both manually and using automated test tools to exercise software testing. The QA Tester also creates and updates defect tracking logs and works with development teams and users to ensure that all defects are resolved.  Assist in the identification of QA tasks and associated level of effort.  Prepare and execute acceptance testing of new or revised modules.  Provide feedback to the development group on usability, functionality and quality of user experience.  Manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis. Establish priorities and resolve priority conflicts.

We are looking for QA's senior enough to know what questions to ask to get the job done right.  Someone with the initiative to get things done instead of sitting around waiting for direction.  There are a mix of Client Server and web-based applications developed using Microsoft tools and technologies that handle Terabytes of data.  The expected duration is 3-6 months with the possibility of conversion to Full time if you are a top performer!

REQUIRED:

• Good English speaking and writing skills
• Strong QA Analytical and Logical Skills
• Strong Data Analysis Skills
• Strong SQL Scripting background
• SQL database testing
• Automation, Performance Testing and DB testing
• Strong VB Scripting
• Able to write code (scripts) in QTP (instead of just the record/play features of QTP)

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent field
