Senior Software Engineer/Architect

SolTech is an Atlanta, Georgia based Technology Firm. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with architecture experience to help lead an application team, as well as participate in the development of a proprietary object-oriented application development framework.

This role also includes mentoring and assisting application development teams in their software development efforts using the framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented software development, design patterns and layered architecture, and should have a broad knowledge base of existing software development tools.

Contribute to the architecture definition for small to large sized applications; design and architect small to medium sized applications, and new features for larger applications based upon functional and technical specifications

• Participate in the development and architecture of a proprietary application framework
• Complete design reviews to ensure functional, performance and scalability requirements are met
• Conduct code reviews ensuring good coding standards and best practices are followed
• Follow the Test Driven Deployment (TDD) practices
• Resolve application defects reported by support and quality assurance
• Mentor other developers in the organization with architecture, design and coding skills
• Write documentation to describe application functional or technical specifications
• Participate effectively within the Agile/Scrum methodology
• Minimum 8+ years work experience in software engineering
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Microsoft Certified Professional preferred
• Strong experience with OOAD, layered architectures, design patterns and UML
• Expertise in C#.NET and Microsoft web technologies (ASP.NET, MVC preferred)
• Extensive experience with relational databases and programming, preferably SQL Server
• Strong experience with agile development practices, including test-driven development and continuous integration.
• Experience with mocking tools a plus
• Strong experience with n-Tier architecture, OR/M tools (NHibernate preferred) and Dependency Injection tools (Spring.NET preferred)
• Experience with XML, HTML and jQuery/Javascript
