Skills: OOP (languages could be PHP, Java, Ruby, etc.), JavaScript, entreprenuerial spirit, Ruby on Rails, Facebook API or jQuery a plus!

Summary:

We are looking for a Software Engineer with web application development experience, and familiarity with SQL and databases. Our client is out to build the most effective social advertising platform possible. Their team thrives on getting stuff done, deploys regularly, and strives to automate anything that they'd have to manually do more than once. As a member of their team you'll be challenged to learn, teach, lead, and CRUSH hard problems with a healthy balance of humility and zeal. We need you to have a strong general engineering background and the personal initiative to expand your experience. You need to have worked with technologies in the past to build an application or a meaningful feature within a larger application. You should also have a computer science degree or equivalent experience, as well as previous experience working with databases and be comfortable creating data driven applications.

Responsibilities:

• Build an industry leading social advertising platform, BAM
• Work with a small team of skilled engineers in a pair programming environment
• Explore and learn to work on all areas of the application stack with a senior engineer

Qualifications:

• Web application development experience
• Familiarity with SQL and databases
• A track record for solving problems and getting things done
• A desire to take responsibility and own an application
• Intrigued by huge data storage and analysis
• Will expect you to provide links to any available active projects you've worked on that are accessible online
• Experience with any is a plus:
  • Ruby on Rails
  • jQuery ( custom JavaScript )
  • PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis
  • Rspec, Jasmine, and Capybara
  • Chef
  • AWS
