SQL Server DBA Developer

SolTech is seeking a SQL Server DBA to install SQL Server databases in development, QA and production environments. The position joins a structured team environment of developers, and provides an opportunity for growth. This SQL Server DBA will work in a stable environment supporting SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security. Ideal candidate is sharp and capable of learning. Job Responsibilities

• Installing the SQL Server database instances in all environments
• Supporting SQL Server databases
• Developing performent TSQL/Stored Procedures
• Create/Maintain tables/columns/indexes
• Monitor the database systems
• Provide trend analysis to service management team
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include deployments and upgrades
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes
• Ability to create table structures

Required Skills

• Bachelors of Information Systems or Computer Science
• 3-5 years SQL Server Database Administration experience
• Experience of SQL Server cluster installation, maintenance and support
• Experience in monitoring and tuning a database
• Experience in managing internal and external SQL Server database security
• Experience in Transact SQL development
• Experience writing performance queries
• Microsoft SQL Server related certification a plus
• Experience with other database systems, preferably PostGres
