This is a great opportunity for software developers to focus on developing user interfaces and web Front End software. This team supports the creative team implementing cutting edge designs. You will be working closely with the design team and be responsible for the rebranding of existing web sites and creation of new web sites. Our client needs expert knowledge of an array of web technologies, and at the same time a strong design aesthetic, allowing for the creation of beautiful and functional websites. Responsibilities:

• Create web pages using best practices for layout, syntax, cross-browser compatibility & optimization that meet W3C standards for usability.
• Mobile site development and optimization of existing and new sites.
• Create properties files from delivered content and submit for translation.
• Discuss business requirements, wireframes, design, and implementation options both within and across teams using both written and oral communication.
• Cross-browser testing.
• Follow and assist with the evolution of corporate Front End standards and branding guidelines.
• Defect fixes and site maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years as a Web Front End/UI development
• A strong proponent of clean, valid, maintainable, and semantically correct HTML/CSS, including HTML5/CSS3
• Solid knowledge of DOM manipulation
• Experience with Dojo, jQuery and other JavaScript libraries
• Strong Adobe CS skills
• Experience with modern web/UI development tools and techniques.
• Working knowledge of web accessibility guidelines
• In-depth knowledge of the capabilities of popular browsers
• Experience with software revision control systems such as Subversion
• Rebranding and maintaining the existing websites
• A keen eye for design aesthetics
• Front End table-less layout development, performance optimization, debugging, troubleshooting code and implementing cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with template based content management systems like WordPress is required, and/or Expression Engine, Drupal etc.
• Experience with PHP preferred
