Desktop Support Technician

Yoh has contract opportunities for Desktop Support Technicians to join our client in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provides second-level support to the client computing environment of IT., primarily focused on, but not limited to, personal computing desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and office peripherals.
- Answer, evaluate, and resolve incidents, problems, or requests reported by end-users.
- Escalate to second and third level IT. support personnel, IT. management, and other support teams, as required.
- Deploy IT. client hardware and applications to support the end-user community and business environment.
- Input and update systems or documents to maintain data and accuracy for IT. objectives, such as service calls, asset management, warranty claims.
- Validate specifications for hardware and peripherals as requested by end-users and IT. management.
- Will support Windows 7.

Job Qualifications:

- A.A.S. (enrolled or completed) or equivalent years of work experience in a computing systems field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/7 operating systems, corporate PC security and management software, Active Directory infrastructure, and office applications.
- Working knowledge of Lotus Notes client configuration and use.
- Working knowledge of personal computer hardware architecture.
- Ability to identify and resolve hardware and software configuration problems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of network concepts is helpful, but not required.
