The Event Management Systems Analyst ensures the technical well-being of supported products through performance monitoring, problem determination and resolution
Reporting Information/Location
This Enterprise Systems Analyst is located at Auburn Hills Operations Center and reports to the Vice President of Client Production Services. This position has no direct reports.
Position Responsibilities
1. Maintains a working knowledge of interfacing multi-platform technologies to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of the SME's designated software
2. Analyze and recommend improvements to maximize automation availability, performance and resource utilization of systems software
3. Continually seek new and innovative ways to enhance operational functions within the group/area to which you support
4. Participate in the development/review of administrative workflows and/or operational design workflows
5. Provides technical knowledge transfer to members of internal staff through coaching, mentoring and training individuals
6. Partners with vendors for the purpose of enhancing system product functionality
7. Directs the release management process for their designated software
8. Leads technical team through the analysis, planning, development, testing
9. Ensures development and execution of test plans for system enhancements, upgrades and patches
10. Provides technical consultant input to the strategic plans within assigned area
11. Assumes the appropriate leadership to ensure successful implementation of all projects in which participation is a responsibility
12. Ensures that assigned tasks are completed within estimated project hours and with demonstrated commitment as agreed upon by Project Managers/Leads and documented in the project plans
13. Anticipates regulatory exposure and develops and executes plans to mitigate risks
14. Participation in all internal and external audits. Meet or exceed expectations for deliverables
15. Responsible for presenting additions, changes and exceptions to IS standards and procedures related to the support of specified software
16. Engage in audit process through the management of departmental practices/disciplines ensuring compliance with all processes/procedures

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 7 years of technical experience or 10 years of technical experience
- 7 years of experience in administrative and technical support functions for Event Management software (HP-OMU/OVO and MS-SCOM)
- 4 years of experience in server administration functions (Microsoft, UNIX, Linux)
- Fluency in Scripting and support of existing scripts (VBScript, DOS Batch, POSIX Shell, PERL)
- 3 years of experience with (IBM) Tivoli products
