The Help Desk Support Service Specialist-Weekend Shift is needed to perform multiple technology support activities and resolves client problems due to system issues. Ensure appropriate tools, techniques and standards are being utilized to meet client needs.
Reporting Information/Location
This Help Desk Support Service Specialist - Weekend Shift is located at Auburn Hills Operations Center and reports to the Supervisor of the Helpdesk. This position has no direct reports.
Position Responsibilities
1. Perform software troubleshooting and contact service providers for problems. Supervise/provide complex off-site support for client functions/meetings.
2. Work to diagnose problems with Wide Area Network (WAN) Routers and circuits,
3. Assess the special needs of clients and respond appropriately.
4. Resolve hardware/software problems. Identify sources and trends of technical problems and recommend/submit documentation to capture workaround for client.
5. Assist in the resolution of problems and the identification of potential issues/trends
6. Ensure client satisfaction.
7. Respond to telephone inquiries concerning support requests, systems status, and network connectivity.
8. Recommend ways to improve product and service support capabilities.
9. Perform administrative tasks, such as resetting passwords

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 3 years of technical experience or 7 years of technical experience
3 years of experience in a large helpdesk environment supporting Windows, Novell, Active Directory, Lotus Notes, and MS Office
3 years customer service experience working with internal or external clients
