Reporting Information/Location

This Senior Information Security Engineer is located at Auburn Hills Operations Center and reports to the Vice President of Corporate Security Information. This position has no direct reports.

Position Responsibilities

1. Makes well-thought out decisions on complex or ambiguous information security issues.

2. Acts as a resource for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

3. Provides architectural oversight and direction for enterprise-wide security technology.

4. Ensures high-level integration of application development with information security policies and strategies.

5. Stays up-to-date on the direction of emerging industry standards.

6. Identifies, evaluates, conducts, schedules and leads technical analyses functions to ensure all applicable IS security requirements are met.

7. Provides technical analysis of requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored, or transmitted by systems.

8. Coordinates with users to determine requirements

9. Monitors security log analysis and infrastructure design, along with security vulnerability and threat analysis

10. Will be using intermediate/advanced forensic investigation skills

11. System/network design and review and advanced networking technical security knowledge

12. Will be implementing, managing, and be responsible for the Data Leakage Program

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 10 years of technical experience or 12 years of technical experience.

5 years of security design

5 years of technical security assessment of hosts and networks

5 years technical process execution

3 years basic forensic process skills

7 years of data analysis and research skills

5 years of assessing problems and preparing written responses

5 years of developing and giving presentations (business and technical)

2 years of Data Loss Prevention tool experience
