About the Opportunity
Job Description:

The Senior Software Engineer (SSE) must have strong Oracle SQL and UNIX experience and will design, develop, implement, maintain and support applications that leverage database and flat-file technology for hosted Database Marketing systems.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

* Working with account team on business requirements and functional specifications
* Identifying, designing and developing process improvements.
* Defining, designing and implementing approaches to perform initial loads and ongoing updates of the marketing database systems.
* Transforming and loading data according to the business specifications.
* Coding and unit testing modules
* Executing system, integration and regression tests
* Performing enlacements and bug fixes as required
* Defining and executing data validation routines
* Supporting applications and performing production data loads
* Preparing applicable system documentation and operation manuals

Qualifications
Qualifications

* Strong problem solving and decision making skills
* Strong communication skills
* Capable of interpreting specs written by non-technical team members
* Experience servicing ad hoc requests
* Ability to carry a project from concept through deployment and ongoing production
* Familiarity with both OLTP and Data Warehouse environments
* Strong background with UNIX platforms
* Knowledge of RDBMS concepts and best practices
* 5+ years development experience with SQL (Oracle) and Unix Shell Scripting (KSH)
* Experience writing PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, etc.
* MS Office tools such as WORD, EXCEL, etc.
* Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with SQL, common UNIX commands and UNIX Shell Scripting (KSH)
* Experience in a dynamic work environment
* Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) required

Pluses:

* Database Direct Marketing industry experience
* SharePoint and TFS experience
* Practical experience with HTML and XML
* Experience with Web Services
* Address Standardization, Merge/Purge experience
