The Technical Business Analyst working with and advising business clients on future and current technology opportunities to support business needs, as well as assisting in the facilitation of the IS project portfolio (labor, hardware, software) related to the associated client's IT portfolio.

Reporting Information/Location

The Technical Business Analyst is located at the Auburn Hills Operations Center and reports to the Vice President -BRM. This position has no direct reports.

Position Responsibilities

1.

Technical Business Analyst with a background in a range of technologies and the ability to apply that knowledge to identify solutions that meet the needs of the business.

2.

Formulating and articulating ideas, concepts, and recommendations is critical in this role.

3.

Proficiency in creating high-level technical documentation, including Visio diagrams, and designing high level solutions is required.

4.

Gather input from clients, Solution Architects, Infrastructure Teams and subject matter experts throughout IS to create the materials required during the inception of small, medium and large projects.

5.

Required materials include but are not limited to business cases, project charters, high level technical diagrams, and project cost estimates.

6.

Creative competencies along with the ability to be a self-starter and to maneuver throughout organizational and process structure will be a key component of this role.

7.

Knowledge and experience gathering high-level requirements, functional designs and creating/updating business processes will be needed for this position.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 5 years Information Technology experience, or 9 years Information Technology experience

8 years of business analysis experience (gathering requirements, functional design, and documenting business processes)

8 years of experience in facilitating business and system requirements

8 years of experience performing within the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

5 years of experience in developing and maintaining a strong working relationships with colleagues at different levels of the organization

5 years of experience in providing high-level estimates for the technical efforts related to the implementation of proposed new ideas

5 years of experience in software vendor relationship/management activities

2 years of experience in Financial Industry/Banking applications (eg lending applications, Treasury Management, check processing, retail banking applications)
