They will be Providing analysis to develop, design, implement, maintain and support new/existing product and benefit system administration both internally and with external vendors. Work includes responding to end user/client problems/issues/requests within the application/system, performing data and job management, supporting connectivity and interfacing issues with ancillary systems, and researching/remediation of data and technical issues.
JOB SUMMARY: Provides analysis to develop, design, implement, maintain and support new/existing product and benefit system administration both internally and with external vendors. Work includes responding to end user/client problems/issues/requests within the application/system, performing data and job management, supporting connectivity and interfacing issues with ancillary systems, and researching/remediation of data and technical issues. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and performs in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, external laws and accreditation standards as they relate to Membership/Benefit Administration, Marketing, Sales and Business Development, Care Delivery, and Claims Administration.
Position includes: analytical research and critical thinking, 1st tier support, issue management, job scheduling, interface and job monitoring, system report review and issue resolution, user access administration and SOX control management, data support such as benefit systems database configuration, queries and reporting, recommending/designing/developing solutions, analysing efficiencies, conducting/supporting functional testing,
Accountable for creating a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity. Maintains knowledge of and assures departmental compliance with Kaiser Permanente's Principles of Responsibility and policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Responds appropriately to observed fraud or abuse.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems, business, medical operations, or health care administration setting
Ø Three years of the above relevant work experience in areas such as business systems analysis, systems support, data analysis/reporting or administration
Ø Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
Ø Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills required
Ø Strong detail and quality orientation essential
Ø Ability to adapt to constantly changing environments & priorities required
Ø Self-motivated team player who can work independently with some management direction and who can work collaboratively with various stakeholders is required
Ø Proficiency in data management, analysis and reporting tools, eg MS Access, DB2, VB, SAS preferred
Ø Experience with Epic Systems, Xcelys, Common Membership, or BETS applications a plus
Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills preferred
