Job Description

We are seeking a Oracle Database Administrator who will be responsible for configuring, administering, and maintaining the Oracle database environments. Responsibilities include database upgrades, patching, security, troubleshooting and issue resolution, backup procedures, and performance tuning. In addition, DBA,s will provide support to peers etc as needed. Daily responsibilities include monitoring production environment, troubleshooting providing acceptable system performance, and assuring data is protected and recoverable as required.

Responsibilities:
, Install, patch, maintain, and upgrade Oracle using Oracle utilities and monitoring tools.
, Setup and monitor backups; implement and test recovery techniques; diagnose and correct performance problems.
, Install, configure, tune, and maintains production, development, training, and test environments.
, Proven experience managing Oracle database configurations.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
, Advanced understanding of oracle database concepts and structures.
, Advanced knowledge of oracle architecture and configurations, including oracle server and 11g/10g experience.
, Advanced experience and understanding of patching, cloning, Oracle Grid Control, Enterprise Manager, security, backup and recovery procedures, and replication activities.
, Oracle database performance tuning skills required.
, Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
, Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
, Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
, Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
, Bachelor,s degree required; at the manager,s discretion equivalent experience in software development, database programming, computer engineering or a related technological field may substitute for the degree requirement.
, Typically requires 5-7 years of previous experience as an Oracle DBA.
, Proven experience implementing and supporting enterprise database systems.
, Required expertise: RAC/RHCS clusters, Failsafe, ASM, OCFS, & RMAN backup and restore configurations. Oracle Golden Gate (optional, but preferred.)
, Demonstrated ability to consistently provide FANATICAL support.
