Description
Position Summary:
The Production Development team is responsible for providing 3rd tier engineering support for our GRM Recorder product suite. This position is primarily responsible for analysing and fixing data and application issues reported from our client base.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and enhancing existing application based on supplied designs and specifications.
- Identifying cause of reported software issues and supplying appropriate fixes.
- Work as a part of a team throughout all phases of the software release cycle.
- Develop and test bug fixes and assist the QA team with further software testing as needed
- Work within the development engineering team to follow release protocols, checking in code in a timely fashion and ensuring fixes are populated to the correct code branches
- Ensure Tech Writer is informed of items requiring release notes and support teams are aware of configuration settings that may be required with new fix
- Update the support team with detailed resolution path by utilizing the online ticket tracking system to detail the fix, build number, and installation procedures
- Work with customers directly, as needed, for installation or assistance with development research and fixes; document resolution to guide support teams for easy deployment
- Perform other project duties, such as project implementation and support, as assigned

Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science degree or related area.
- Microsoft certifications a plus, but not required.
- At least 3 years developing software in a team environment using Microsoft technologies.
- Object Oriented programming experience with C# .NET. Should be able to read code snippets and follow logical code paths. Preferable experience with debugging code and creating patches and support releases.
- Strong SQL analysis and T-SQL development skills. Good understanding of relational databases. Comfortable writing ad hoc SQL queries from scratch and making SQL updates in a production database.
- Knowledge of source control procedures, experience with TFS is a plus.
- Must be self-starter and obtain advanced knowledge of the software applications.
- Must keep up with new releases as application changes.
- Keep team members informed of critical fixes.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Minimal business travel may be required as determined at the supervisor's discretion
- May require extended work schedules, tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
- Must be able to work in a variety of social, cultural, legal, and political environments
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the supervisor's discretio
