Responsibilities
NCS Pearson, Inc. seeks a Weblogic Applications System Administrator in Austin, Texas to build, support, and administer Internet software application services and supporting computer infrastructure/systems. Includes configuration, installment, and troubleshooting for high-volume, mission-critical network systems software in a BEA WebLogic Application Server environment. Provide architectural and practical guidance to IT project managers, development, and engineering teams to avoid server degradation and service loss. Utilize knowledge of Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Oracle WebLogic 10.X, JBoss, JProbe, Perl, Bash, Python, Tomcat, and Windows/Linux/Solaris/Unix operating systems.
Qualifications
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree as determined by a written evaluation and 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor Degree experience using Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE); BEA WebLogic 8.X/9.X; Jprobe; Perl; Bash; Python; Tomcat; Wily Interscope Monitoring Tools and configuring Interscope EP Agents; Oracle, MySql or MSSQL; and Windows/Linux/Solaris/Unix operating systems. Requires BEA Administrator certification, version 8.1 or higher. Experience may be concurrent.
Alternatively we accept, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree as determined by a written evaluation and 2 years of experience using Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE); BEA WebLogic 8.X/9.X; Jprobe; Perl; Bash; Python; Tomcat; Wily Interscope Monitoring Tools and configuring Interscope EP Agents; Oracle, MySql or MSSQL; and Windows/Linux/Solaris/Unix operating systems. Requires BEA Administrator certification, version 8.1 or higher. Experience may be concurrent.
