Job Description: Automation Software Tester

CGI Federal is looking for a Software Tester to support one of our Health IT projects within our Health and Compliance Business Unit. This is a full time position based at our Woodlawn, MD office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test plans and test cases for this project. H/She will also be providing test data and reports for various levels of testing such as (String, Limited Regression, and Regression testing). Other responsibilities include:

- Participation in all project review meetings (functional spec, design, etc.)
- Analyze functional requirements
- Design documents and develop appropriate test cases
- Execute test cases and capture test evidence one the code is delivered for testing
- Follow all project processes and testing processes consistently

Requirements:

- Must have an overall knowledge of SDLC process
- Must be able to analyze and understand functional (Requirements) and technical documents (Design, ICD, Manuals etc)
- Must be able to communicate clearly with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, testers and other team members
- Basic knowledge of SQL, JCL, Mainframe utilities is required
- Must have a good knowledge of Automation Tools for testing User Interfaces (Particularly with HP QTP V11.0 and above)

Desired knowledge/

Skills:

- Knowledge or experience in following Mainframe areas (TSO/ISPF, DB2, MQ Queues, FILEAID, SPUFI/QMF/BMC, ENDEVOR)
- Knowledge or experience in testing Business Intelligence (BI) Tools (MicroStrategy or COGNOS etc)
- Knowledge or experience in testing Java based Graphical User Interfaces (GUI)
- Knowledge of Industry Best Practices for Automation Tools
