LAN/Network Engineer (Job Number:333014)
Description:
The LAN/Network Engineer will work with the NOC team and back up the two NetIQ Administrators as needed in surge times. He/She will also be responsible for investigating reported issues with devices and prevent down time when reported. This person will be a Sr. level POC for investigations in the LAN group and able to apply for Enterprise Administrator access on the DLA domain so we have a back-up to our other EA.
The LAN/Network Engineer will also participate in project planning, project scheduling, project documentation and be involved in enterprise planning initiatives. General server administration, AD Migration Planning, Exchange account administration, network trouble shooting, email trouble shooting, IA incident investigations and GPO administration duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Experience in enterprise network administration duties to include: Active Directory 2003 and 2008 domain administration duties in an enterprise architecture, Exchange 2003 or 2007 email administration, Dell and HP server hardware and software administration, printer and digital sender network administration, BES Blackberry server administration
- Basic knowledge of C# or VB programming
- Knowledge of the DIACAP network accreditation process or willingness to learn and participate in server scan mitigations, STIG compliancy, checks, POAM tracking processes and other required security validations to pass yearly ATO validations of the network devices
Desired Skill:
- Router and Switch configuration administration, Citrix, VMWare, Web server
- MCITP-EA
- CISSP
- Knowledge of NetIQ and monitoring the network devices
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years' experience in Network Administration with 1-3 years of government IA experience in line with DOD server and network STIG compliance work, server and printer patching and update processes.
- This position requires a IT-1 and Secret clearance.
