JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC has a Telecomm Network Administrator position open in Battle Creek, MI.

Telecomm Network Administrator will direct, plan and coordinate all technical support requirements and manage resources in support of tasks referenced under this task order.

Involves network troubleshooting, maintenance, and hardware configuration, down to the end user level. Also Assists with investigations and works closely with other agencies. This includes the review of task performance and work products for correctness, for adherence to design concepts and user requirements, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Administrator is responsible for directing technical work on projects. Performs a variety of analyses and prepares appropriate documentation. Creates and provides briefings and presentations. Works independently and installs, operates, maintains, configures, troubleshoots, and repairs IT systems devices, circuits, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, software and connectivity. Provides coordination with the Contractor's project manager and customers to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters. Additionally Frequent travel to field sites may be required.

Qualifications

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Bachelor's Degree in CS or IS or equivalent technical qualifications.

- 4+ years' experience administering/managing enterprise level networks.

- Experience with the Cisco IOS

- Experience with Solar Winds

- Experience with Opsware

- Understanding of wireless technologies

- Can configure and maintain Routers and switches

- Understands network topology and terminology

- Install and uninstall computer hardware components to include internal and peripheral devices.

- Experience supporting a 24x7 environment to ensure that Servers are available.

- Working knowledge of snmp, tcp, http, https, ssh protocols and troubleshooting issues related to these protocols.

- Strong analytical, prioritizing, planning, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

US Citizenship required and an active Secret clearance.

CERTIFICATIONS:

Required: CompTIA Security+CE

Preferred: Cisco CCNA or obtain within the first 6 months of hire
